What is the Award about?
Artificial intelligence is one of the key drivers for the digital transformation of companies and processes, for the way we work
Companies in Germany and the Asia-Pacific face similar problems: They want to innovate in a way that’s clear and fair, while boosting their competitiveness and dealing with cybersecurity issues.
Working together, Asia-Pacific and Germany can tackle these challenges. Pairing up fast-moving startups with well-established companies is part of the solution.
Who is behind the Award?
The German-Asia Startup Award is presented by the Asia-Pacific Committee of German Business – APA. APA is a joint initiative of the Federation of German Industries (BDI), the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DIHK), the German Asia-Pacific Business Association (OAV), the Federation of German Wholesale, Foreign Trade and Services (BGA) and the Association of German Banks (Bankenverband). We bundle the economic concerns of German businesses with a commitment in the Asia-Pacific. Dr. Roland Busch, President & Chief Executive Officer of Siemens AG, assumed the APA chairmanship in October 2021.
In addition to political support, the APA organises the bi-annual Asia-Pacific Conference of German Business in the region together with the German Chambers of Commerce Abroad and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action.
